2010 West Texas CrossRoads Marathon Is In the Books!
You can find race results posted at www.crossroadsmarathon.com.... congratulations to all the athletes and volunteers. We had over 400 registrants in the three events (full, half, and 5K), and approximately 300 volunteers. Next year, we add a 10K for an easier "step-up" between 5k and half marathon. We expect race photos on the website, soon. Thanks to all who supported the event!

You might consider a marathon-relay next year instead of a 10K. With four person teams, each would run about 6.5 miles. Since you already have the marathon course manned for 7 hours, it would not be more trouble for volunteers, it would make the finish line easier to handle, and it would make the marathon less lonely for the 50-or-so who go the full distance. Most big-city marathons have relays nowadays ... something to think about.
ReplyDeleteThanks for how smooth everything went! Is there an ETA perhaps on the photos from the day?
